JCAP issues its Grants Program to enable civil society organizations to actively engage in social behavior change for family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH), and to foster an enabling environment at the local, governorate and national levels.
JCAP builds the capacities of awarded civil society organization (CSO) applicants to design, implement and monitor effective social behavior change communication (SBCC) activities and efficient advocacy strategies, as well as to identify and support Community Champions.
JCAP encourages civil society organizations to propose innovative interventions that correspond with the needs and the local context of their beneficiaries, engage youth and promote gender equality and female empowerment. JCAP awards grants to CSOs to mobilize local voices and promote FP/RH services. JCAP also will extend technical support to CSOs to incorporate their locally created SBCC material into JCAP’s national campaigns addressing FP/RH, expand community outreach to generate demand for FP/RH services, and to introduce policy and advocacy activities.
